It was announced, last month, that Young Thug had joined the lineup of the Belgian festival Les Ardentes. Then, he got announced for Switzerland’s Openair Frauenfeld. Now, the Atlanta rapper has lined up yet another post-jail festival performance: He’ll headline Summer Smash, in Bridgeview, Illinois, on Sunday June, 22. See the Summer Smash poster below.
Young Thug has not performed a public concert since March 2022. He was arrested just about two months after that Austin, Texas, show and remained incarcerated until agreeing to plead guilty, in October, to participating in criminal street gang activity.
Earlier this year, Young Thug featured on Lil Baby’s “Dum, Dumb, and Dumber,” marking his first official post-jail single. He more recently appeared on Playboi Carti’s Music. Young Thug released one studio album, Business Is Business, while awaiting trial.
Lyrical Lemonade and SPKRBX launched the Summer Smash festival in 2018. The 2025 event takes place at SeatGeek Stadium from Friday, June 20, to Sunday, June 22. In addition to Young Thug, the festival will feature Don Toliver and Yeat (debuting a new collaborative project), Future, Chance the Rapper, Sexyy Red, OsamaSon, Young Nudy, Lazer Dim 700, Quavo, Saba, Insane Clown Posse, and more.
