Social media users are reporting that Elon Musk-owned app X is down for the second time in two days.
The website Downdetector has recorded a spike in users reporting an outage, with many unable to load their home pages and recent tweets from people they follow. Users said they were met with a message that read “Something went wrong. Try reloading”.
The outage was reported at around 7pm, with a spike of over 17,000 people recording issues. This and yesterday’s problems mean therr have been close to 60,000 reports recorded on Downdetector in the last 24 hours.
Tonight’s X outage comes just weeks after Musk confirmed the site had been hit by a “massive cyberattack”.

One user replied: “They want to silence you and this platform”, to which Musk replied “Yes”.
Another outage occurred only yesterday One user said: “X is currently down and no one is able to post, like, retweet, bookmark, or comment.”
Another added: “X is currently down for millions right now. Spaces are glitching. Posts aren’t refreshing. Mine is acting up as well. So don’t think it’s just you. It’s happening to many of us.”
