Without Draymond Green and Stephen Curry, the Golden State Warriors are a collection of role players who provide minimum threats to NBA teams with playoff aspirations. However, if the Warriors at least have Curry in the lineup, the odds of a victory improve, especially against lower-level Eastern Conference squads. Monday’s injury report for the Warriors builds suspense for a matchup vs. the Indiana Pacers.
The Warriors rank seventh in the Western Conference, with a 3-7 record in their last 10 games. Coincidentally, their past 10 opponents were all Western Conference teams.

Monday provides the Warriors with a much-needed break from the hardwood jungle of the Western Conference as the disappointing Pacers visit the Chase Center.
However, the Warriors’ up-and-down season wouldn’t meet expectations without a snag in their plans. The injury report puts Draymond Green’s availability for Monday in limbo, possibly presenting an upset before Christmas.
Green is in danger of missing his fourth game due to inflammation in his left lower leg. While Green isn’t the only reason for the Warriors’ eighth-ranked defensive rating, the elite defender plays a primary factor in such elite production.
Without Green, the red-hot Pacers have the proper pieces to play spoiler for a Warriors team seeking a winning streak heading into Christmas. The Pacers are 5-1 in their last six games, blowing out the Sacramento Kings 122-95 on Sunday evening.
Indiana’s resurgence on offense stands in the Warriors’ goal of ascending in the Western Conference playoff seeding. Much like previous seasons, Green’s availability plays a significant factor in the Warriors’ win probability.
