Here’s Who Taylor Swift Replaced Blake Lively With at the Super Bowl After Rumors of Their Bad Blood

An important member of Taylor Swift’s squad was missing from her suite at the 2025 Super Bowl: Blake Lively. Swift, who is dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, attended the Super Bowl LVIII in 2024 with Lively, rapper Ice Spice, stylist Ashley Avignone, and her mom, Andrea Swift.

However, Lively was noticeably missing from Swift’s box at the Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Sunday, February 9. TMZ confirmed two days before the Super Bowl that Lively would not be attending the game due to her fractured friendship with Swift. TMZ previously reported that Swift felt manipulated by Lively after she was involved in the actress’ lawsuit with her It Ends With Us director and co-star, Justin Baldoni.

According to court documents, Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and Baldoni met at Lively and Reynolds’ New York City penthouse while filming It Ends With Us in 2023 to discuss a scene that Lively had rewritten. According Baldoni’s lawsuit, Swift arrived in the middle of the meeting and “began praising Lively’s script.” The lawsuit continued, “Baldoni understood the subtext: he needed to comply with Lively’s direction for the script.”

In an alleged text to Lively after the meeting, Baldoni wrote that while he believed her changes to the scene made it “so much more fun and interesting,” he “would have felt that way without Ryan and Taylor.” Lively allegedly responded by comparing herself to Game of Thrones character Khaleesi / Daenerys Targaryen and referred to Reynolds and Swift as her two “dragons.”

According to TMZ, Swift was unaware that anyone would be at Lively and Reynolds’ apartment and only arrived when Lively told her to. The source claimed that Baldoni was just about to leave the two-hour meeting when Swift arrived. Per the insider, Swift introduced herself to Baldoni for the first and only time. The source also alleged that all Swift told Baldoni was how excited she was to see It Ends With Us because he was her friend’s director.

Another insider told TMZ that Swift believes Lively timed her meeting with Baldoni so she would arrive before he left. The source also reported that Swift was confused by Lively referring to her as her “dragon.” “It’s weird to say that about a friend,” the insider said. TMZ also claimed that Swift recently learned that Lively has been leveraging her name for a while and told a young actress that Swift “cast her” in a project, which didn’t happen.

A different source, however, told TMZ that Lively and Swift’s relationship is “not strained” at all and the two still talk regularly. The source reported that, while Swift was upset by her involvement in the lawsuit—especially the “dragons” text—Lively has since apologized and the two have reconciled their friendship.

Swift’s younger brother Austin Swift took Blake Lively and their mom Andrea Swift’s place at the 2025 Super Bowl. He attended the game with his girlfriend, Sydney Ness.

4. Haim

Also new at the Super Bowl 2025 were the Haim sisters, Danielle, Alana and Este, who are also featured on Swift’s song “No Body, No Crime” from her ninth album, Evermore.
