What we know about person who was shot at Beaumont hospital in Troy

TROY, Mich. – Police released more information about the shooting that happened at Corewell Health Beaumont Hospital in Troy on Thursday morning.

Here’s what we learned about the victim who was shot.

At 7:08 a.m. hospital security called the police department and reported that a shooting happened in a parking garage, according to Troy Police Lt. Ben Hancock.

Security told police the suspect fired a gun five times at the victim, who has been identified as a 25-year-old Troy man.

The victim was shot twice in the arm, and his car was also hit.

The shooting was between two employees.

Police say the victim is stable.

The suspect is now in custody, according to police. He was arrested at a home on Breezeway Drive in Macomb Township.

“The victim was able to identify the suspect, so that’s how we were able to narrow that down,” said Hancock.

No other information about the suspect has been released at this time.
