What time is Mets vs. Astros on Opening Day 2025? How to watch, stream Thursday’s game

At long last, the Mets’ 2025 season has arrived.

Coming off of their first National League Championship appearance in nearly a decade, there’s even higher expectations after an 89-win season that had the organization only two wins away from their first World Series appearance since 2015.

That’s largely because of the addition of superstar Juan Soto, who owner Steve Cohen was able to lure away from his lone season with the Yankees and sign the 26-year-old four-time All-Star to a record breaking 15-year, $765 million deal, the biggest deal in MLB history.

The starting lineup now features Soto, National League MVP-runner up Francisco Lindor, and Pete Alonso, who returned to the franchise on a two-year, $54 million contract, notably with a player opt-out after the 2025 season.
