BOWEN STRIKES HIS 10TH OF THE SEASON AS SPURS AND WEST HAM PLAY OUT DERBY DRAW
West Ham and Spurs played out a tense 1-1 draw at the London Stadium, with Jarrod Bowen’s 10th Premier League goal of the season cancelling out Wilson Odobert’s opener.
Spurs made eight changes from their midweek 3-1 victory over Bodo/Glimt in the first leg of their UEFA Europa League tie and Ange Postecoglou’s side looked out of sync for the majority of the match, but West Ham were not able to capitalise.
Graham Potter’s side had the better of the match and Bowen went close to finding a winner at the end of the second half, forcing Guglielmo Vicario into a fine save from a close-range header.
However, West Ham have now extended their winless run to eight matches, picking up just four points from their last 24 available.
The visitors took the lead through Odobert, who struck his first Premier League goal for Spurs in the 15th minute.
Max Kilman made a mess of clearing the ball and played it straight to Mathys Tel, who squared it for Odobert to fire past Alphonse Areola and into the back of the net.

Bowen levelled things up after 28 minutes, latching on to a pass from Aaron Wan-Bissaka, before slotting through the legs of Vicario.
West Ham’s club captain has now reached double figures for goals in the Premier League this season and has once again been the talisman this campaign.
Mohammed Kudus was slightly lucky to avoid a second yellow card during the first half, taking out Djed Spence in the air, after already receiving a booking for a late foul on Kevin Danso.
Both sides lacked energy throughout the second half and neither pushed enough for a winner, meaning they remain 16th and 17th respectively.
Spurs’ attention now turns to their huge UEFA Europa League second leg tie with Bodo/Glimt on Thursday, which you can watch LIVE on TNT Sports and discovery+
Meanwhile, West Ham travel to Old Trafford next weekend hoping to pick up a much-needed win and alleviate some pressure on Potter.
