Two days ago, Green Bay Packers fans erupted to celebrate the first-round pick of Texas wide receiver Matthew Golden outside Lambeau Field.
Golden was in Green Bay and basked in the moment, taking selfies with fans and leading a cheer.
It turned out it wouldn’t be the last time the hometown fans would celebrate the pick by the Packers of a Texas player in attendance.
On April 26, the Packers picked Longhorns edge rusher Barryn Sorrell with their first pick on the third day of the 2025 NFL Draft. And Sorrell was surprisingly in attendance and made the most of the moment.
Sorrell and the fans loved every minute of it.

The cameras were on Sorrell as he put on his Green Bay Packers hat and then shared a huge bear hug with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.
After leaving the stage, he took a selfie with fans, led a “Go Pack Go” chat and high-fived the fans in the crowd.
