Travis Scott Predicts Winner of Ohio State-Notre Dame National Championship

The 2024 National Championship Game between the Ohio State Buckeyes and Notre Dame Fighting Irish is nearly here, and fans are hyped for this game. The stars are out in attendance for this game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, including popular hip-hop artist Travis Scott.

While Scott is most well-known for his career as a rapper, he’s a pretty big sports fan as well. Hailing from Houston, Texas, Scott is a big fan of teams from that area, so while he was likely hoping to see the Texas Longhorns beat the Buckeyes to find their way to the title game, he’s still excited for this contest.

Scott will be performing during halftime of this game, but when he’s not preparing for his show, he will be taking in this clash between Ohio State and Notre Dame. When asked to pick a winner, Scott surprisingly opted to side with the Fighting Irish, saying he believes that the underdog team will come out on top.

“I think I’m rocking with the Irish today. Let’s (expletive) go!” Scott said from the field ahead of the game.

While Notre Dame did well to beat the Indiana Hoosiers, Georgia Bulldogs, and Penn State Nittany Lions on their way to this game, they are heavy underdogs against a talented Ohio State team. The Fighting Irish have a clear blueprint for winning games, though, and Scott believes they will execute it again on Monday night.

Given how hot the Buckeyes have been, though, after pulling out victories over the Tennessee Volunteers, Oregon Ducks, and Longhorns, they are going to be tough to take down. Notre Dame is going to have to establish the run game on offense, while slowing down Will Howard on defense, in order to have a shot at victory.

Time will tell whether or not Scott’s prediction is correct. For now, he will be preparing for his halftime performance, before he gets to sit back and enjoy the second half of what will hopefully be a tightly contested contest.
