The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning until 10 p.m. Monday.
This includes northeastern Monmouth County and southeastern Middlesex County. At 9:22 pm., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Clearbrook Park, or 12 miles south of New Brunswick, moving east at 30 mph.
The warning area specifies Brownville, Strathmore, East Freehold, Jamesburg, Robertsville, Shrewsbury, Red Bank, Middletown, Laurence Harbor, Clearbrook Park, Concordia, Keansburg, Yorketown, Marlboro, Keyport, Whittingham, Eatontown, Holmdel and Matawan, all according to the weather service.
Motorists should be advised this also includes the Garden State Parkway between mile markers 106 and 122.
