Today on Pinstripe Alley – 5/5/25

The Yankees slogged through a rainy loss yesterday, and the forecast, at least weather-wise, looks none too good today. At time of writing, there’s a forecast of an 80-percent chance of rain during the hours that tonight’s game is scheduled to be played. We’ll see if they can get it in, or be forced to play a doubleheader later in the week, which may see rain as well.

In the morning, Josh will preview the series with the Padres, which on paper features three interesting pitching matchups, if Mother Nature permits them to happen. Later, I’ll review a packed Sunday of action across the American League slate, John will remember a wild walk-off win 25 years ago as part of the 2000 Yankees diary, and Madison puts out the call for this week’s mailbag.
