LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Thousands are without power after severe weather hit the Louisville area.
LG&E is reporting that around 20,000 customers in their coverage area are without power, with 17,000 of those being within Louisville.
This comes after several counties in the area were under tornado warnings and a tornado watch for the region will remain until 3 a.m. ET.
Meade County RECC is reporting around 5,600 customers without power in their coverage area. Meade County is seeing the majority of those numbers with 3,100, Breckinridge has 2,500 without power, and Hardin, 66.
