The Masters 2025 odds: Early favorites and sleeper picks for golf’s first major

The 2025 Masters tournament is right around the (Amen) corner and the betting markets have already settled on two familiar faces atop the field at the first major of the golf season.

Scottie Scheffler is the favorite to make history at Augusta National Golf Club this year and Jack Nicklaus, Nick Faldo and Tiger Woods as the only golfers to win the Masters in back-to-back years. Rory McIlroy is right behind as he attempts once again to complete a career grand slam and win the Masters for the first time. This is mostly how the odds stack up each time they have entered a tournament on the PGA Tour this season.

But the majors, more so than ever before since the split between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf, produce the best fields the sport can offer. This year’s Masters will be no different, despite the absence of Woods. LIV Golf stars like Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm and Brooks Koepka are also expected to be among the contenders next week competing for the coveted green jacket. Ludvig Aberg and Russell Henley, relative newcomers in the top 10 of the world golf rankings, could be ready for a breakthrough. Justin Thomas, back in the top-10 again, could be ready for another one.

The storylines don’t stop there, and first-round action begins on Thursday, April 10. The tournament runs through the final round on Sunday, April 13. Here’s an early look at the odds and favorites, according to BetMGM, as well as some potential sleeper picks ahead of the 2025 Masters:
