The Florida Gators and the UConn Huskies have restarted their closely contested matchup.

The scores were level heading into the halftime break thanks to an incredible deep shot from UConn guard Hassan Diarra.

Florida will know it needs to improve in this half to secure a spot in the Sweet 16.

Score: Florida 31, UConn 31

The drama doesn’t stop coming in the NCAA tournament and it looks like we’re in for an early treat from today’s matchups.

We are all tied up going into halftime as the No. 1 seed Florida is struggling against the UConn Huskies.

UConn has impressed throughout the opening 20 minutes – particularly on defense – with the Gators unable to unlock their free-flowing offense.

With both teams shooting fewer than 40% from the field, it has not been an offensive masterclass by any means, but the game is being played at a ferocious pace.

The second half should see more of the same as UConn continues its quest for a three-peat and Florida looks to avoid an upset.

Score: Florida 31, UConn 31

Florida certainly knows its in a battle and UConn is making things difficult for the No. 1 seed.

The Gators are being prevented from stretching their lead thanks to some determined defending from Dan Hurley’s back-to-back champs

But there are positive signs for Florida on offense. Alijah Martin is off to a hot start and Walter Clayton Jr. has sunk two quick shots from deep to get himself going.

UConn is starting to see Liam McNeeley find his rhythm which will be key if the Huskies are to cause an upset.

Score: Florida 27, UConn 26

Gators star Walter Clayton Jr. has taken a while to get going but finally has his first points – courtesy of a trip to the free throw line.

Florida fans will be hoping that this ignites a spark in Clayton as the Gators struggle to build a lead against a scrappy UConn.

UConn’s shooting struggles have continued but the Huskies’ hustle is keeping them close.

It’s a one-point game and the Huskies are very much in this.

Score: Florida 16, UConn 15

UConn has gone 3-for-16 from the field in a sluggish start to this game, yet somehow only finds itself down three.

The Gators have failed to protect the ball and have already been forced into turning the ball over six times.

Alijah Martin is proving to be the difference early on and has nine of Florida’s 11 points.

Score: Florida 11, UConn 8

It has not been a pretty start to this game, but it is certainly being played with some tempo.

UConn has made just one field goal in just over four minutes, but fiery head coach Dan Hurley will be encouraged by the looks his team are getting.

Hurley will be more concerned about Florida’s ability to get down the court. The Gators are killing the Huskies in transition and Alijah Martin has already put down two huge dunks.

Score: Florida 6, UConn 3

The round of 32 game between UConn and Florida is underway with the Huskies looking to cause an upset against the No. 1 seed Gators.

Will Sunday’s March Madness start with a quasi-Cinderella story for the back-to-back champs?

It is a busy day for Blue Devils fans and their Sunday tips off with the women’s team in action against Oregon.

No. 2 Duke comes into the game as a heavy favorite and will be further encouraged by its 86-25 demolition of Lehigh in the round of 64.

Oregon, the No. 10 seed, produced an upset in the first round with a win against No. 7 Vanderbilt and will be hoping to ride that wave of momentum to the Sweet 16.

The Florida Gators are the first No. 1 seed in action today and face a tough matchup against the UConn Huskies.

The Huskies are the back-to-back men’s NCAA tournament champions but have gone slightly off the boil this season.

This, however, will still be a test for the Gators who will know Dan Hurley’s Huskies are capable of causing an upset on their day.

Florida eased into this round of 32 matchup with a dominant 95-69 first round win against Norfolk State. UConn faced a sterner test in Oklahoma but came through with a 67-59 win.

Keep an eye out for Florida’s Walter Clayton Jr. who is capable of singlehandedly leading the Gators to a spot in the Sweet 16.

Arkansas did just enough to hold on against St. John’s to provide the biggest upset of the 2025 NCAA tournament so far.

In a game played at an electric pace from start to finish, the Razorbacks held strong as the No. 2 seed St. John’s’ late surge came too late.

St. John’s star RJ Luis Jr. struggled throughout and was left on the bench as the game reached its conclusion.

The Big East player of the year was held to just nine points on 3-for-17 shooting as he struggled to get anything going.

It was a team effort that won the game for Arkansas in the end.

The Razorbacks had three players in double digits as John Calipari got one over fellow Hall of Fame coach Rick Pitino.

The Razorbacks will now face the winner of the round of 32 game between Drake and Texas Tech.

While heroes are made on the court during March Madness, there are also icons off the court who can steal the show.

Step forward the McNeese State team’s student manager, Amir Khan.

Khan, or – as he is now widely known – Aura, has become a viral sensation since he took up his role. Known for leading the team out of the tunnel with a boombox in hand, Khan gets his team pumped up and ready for action.

During the game against Purdue, Khan looked the part once more and rocking a yellow jumpsuit emblazoned with ‘”Aura” on the back.

His viral run in the tournament is over after the Cowboys’ loss, but he’ll live in March Madness lore for a long time.
