The Tennessee Titans free agency frenzy is in full force on Wednesday with several moves taking place. One of the pending moves isn’t a free agency move, though, it’s a trade. The Titans are in the process of finalizing a deal with the Dallas Cowboys that would send linebacker Kenneth Murray Jr. to Texas and hand the Titans a late-round draft pick.

Drafted in the first round of the 2020 NFL draft by the Los Angeles Chargers, Murray signed with the Titans as a free agent in 2024. He appeared in 14 games for the Titans, recording 95 tackles (57 solo), 3.5 sacks, one forced fumble, one interception, two pass deflections, and seven stuffs.
In exchange for sending Murray to Dallas, the Titans will receive either a sixth- or seventh-round draft pick, but they free up cap space as well.

The Titans have some serious work to do along its linebacking corps during the rest of free agency and the draft. With Murray getting traded and Luke Gifford signing elsewhere, the Titans’ options at linebacker are slim. Signing Cody Barton was helpful, but it’s not enough.
There are so many pieces the Titans have to address this offseason, getting the extra draft pick (even a late one) and freeing up every penny they can is essential. They have to make sure they have the right guys that fit their scheme if they want to be successful, and if Brian Callahan wants to keep his job, they need to be successful in 2025.
