Two police cars were spray painted with an expletive criticizing President Donald Trump this week.
Tallahassee Police Department Lt. Damon Miller would not say where the cars were parked when they were vandalized, just that they were “in Tallahassee.”
The cars had “(expletive) TRUMP” spray painted in pink across their trunks.
A video posted by the Instagram account “wuzhadnintally” shows a TPD patrol car driving down East Seventh Avenue with the graffiti sprayed on the trunk.
It is currently an open investigation, and Miller could neither “confirm nor deny” whether law enforcement connected the incident with the skateboarding, spray painting vandal who tagged property with anti-Trump epithets around the Florida Capitol about a month ago.
The Florida Department of Law is asking community members to help identify a graffiti vandal going around spraying vulgar anti-Trump messages near the Capitol.
In mid-February, the graffiti started popping up on walls and posts, including on the outside of Americans for Prosperity-Florida’s office on College Avenue and on a long-vacant building across North Monroe Street from the county courthouse.
Capitol Police spotted the suspect spraying graffiti wearing what appears to be a gray beanie, a black hoodie with a mountain motif, and jeans. He can be seen holding a skateboard with red on the bottom.
Capitol Police ask anyone with information to email [email protected] or call 850-487-2444. Citizens with information about the more recent vandalism are encouraged to call 574-TIPS (8477) or toll free at 1-888-876-TIPS (8477) to anonymously report information.
