Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors had a chance to close out their series against the Houston Rockets on Friday night. The Warriors held a 3-2 series lead heading into Game 6, at home, but squandered the opportunity falling to the Rockets 115-107.
Despite the Warriors holding a 3-1 lead earlier in the series, they have now been pushed to the brink, and will head to Houston for Game 7 on Sunday.
Curry finished with a game-high 29 points on Friday, however, struggled mightily in the fourth quarter. Curry scored just three points in the final quarter, shooting 1-for-7 from the field, including 1-for-5 from 3-point range.
Immediately following the game, Curry made his way over to his family’s seats, as he does after every home-game inside Chase Center.
His six-year-old son, Canon, can be seen pouting, seemingly upset from his dad’s Game 6 loss. This father-son interaction is turning heads, as it was captured by cameras and posted to the Warriors on NBCS’ official X account.
“Same, Canon, same,” @NBCSWarriors posted on X along with a crying-face emoji.
The interaction was recorded with faint audio of their conversation underneath music blaring throughout Chase Center. The microphone appeared to pick up Curry’s words of reassurance to his son, as his son attempted to hide his head in sadness.
“Hey dude, let me tell you something. Guess what? We have one more game on Sunday,” Curry appears to say to his son.
“I know it,” his son responds.
“It’s okay,” Curry adds before walking to the locker room.

The interaction is grabbing attention on social media, as fans seem to feel the same way as Curry’s son.
“canon just as frustrated as we are,” @jinthirty said on X.
“Awww damn…Even his kid knows that this is bad,” @Mistacoo posted on X.
Some are hoping this interaction provides Curry with extra motivation for Game 7.
“It’s okay, Canon. Daddy got us in Game 7,” @dubsphil said on X.
“Hopefully that gives Steph some extra motivation,” @BigBaller21284 posted on X.
Game 7 will tip-off on Sunday, in Houston, at 8:30 p.m. EDT.
