ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis Blues watch party at Ballpark Village Wednesday night brought fans together for the fifth game of a playoff series against the Winnipeg Jets.
The teams split the first four games, winning their home games. Game six will be back at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis.
“Everyone is hyped up and so excited but also kind of nervous,” Jordan Hahn, a Blues fan, said.
Blues fan Jamie Anderson predicted the atmosphere on Friday will be on another level.
“Electric is a good word to explain it,” she said. “It’s going to be out of this world. I don’t think there’s another playoff game that will have as much energy as the Enterprise Center is going to have on Friday night.”
Even though the Winnipeg Jets, the top-seeded team in the playoffs, are favored by oddsmakers to win the series, Blues fans believe their team can defy the odds the way they did in 2019.
“The excitement reminds me of 2019,” said St. Louis Blues fan Michael Harper. “It’s going to be awesome.”
St. Louis Blues organist Jeremy Boyer helped energize fans at Wednesday night’s watch party. Fans believe the fun atmosphere of a playoff run helps bring the St. Louis community together.
“St. Louis finally comes together for some amazing playoff hockey,” said Clayton Davis, a St. Louis Blues fan.
Dylan Weh, a longtime Blues fan, added, “People get very excited for the playoffs.”
