‘SNL’ announces hosts, musical guests for its next 3 new episodes

NEW YORK — Elton John, Jack Black, Lizzo, and Morgan Wallen are among the celebrities returning to Studio 8H in the next three weeks.

NBC announced the next three new episodes of “Saturday Night Live” will be hostd by Mikey Madison, Jack Black, and Jon Hamm.

Madison will make her “SNL” hosting debut on Saturday, March 29. Madison won the Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her work in “Anora.”

NBC said country music star Morgan Wallen will make his second appearance as musical guest on Saturday, March 29. Wallen is preparing his summer tour in support of his upcoming album, “I’m The Problem.”

Jack Black returns to “Saturday Night Live” to host for a fourth time on Saturday, April 5. Black stars in the upcoming “A Minecraft Movie,” in theaters Friday, April 4. 

Elton John and Brandi Carlile will appear together as musical guest for the first time on Saturday, April 5. Their collaborative studio album, with the Oscar-nominated song “Never Too Late,” will be released Friday, April 4. 

Jon Hamm heads to 30 Rock to host “SNL” for the fourth time on Saturday, April 12. Hamm stars in the new series “Your Friends and Neighbors,” on April 11 on AppleTV+. 

On April 12, Lizzo will take the Studio 8H stage as musical guest for the fourth time. The Grammy Award winner just debuted “Still Bad,” the newest single from her next album, “Love in Real Life.”

“SNL” marked its 50th anniversary with a celebratory weekend culminating in a live primetime special in February. The special was NBC’s most-watched primetime entertainment telecast in five years.
