Dairy Queen is giving out free ice cream cones on Thursday, March 20 as a part of its annual Free Cone Day.

The ice cream chain has held its Free Cone Day on the first day of spring for countless years now, and ice cream lovers are bound to have the big day marked on the calendar.

Here’s what to know about this year’s Free Cone Day at Dairy Queen.

This year’s Free Cone Day is Thursday, March 20.

What do you get on Free Cone Day?

Treat lovers can enjoy a free small vanilla soft-serve cone at a participating non-mall Dairy Queen location, according to the chain. The best part — the ice cream is truly free. No additional purchase is necessary.

The cones are available while supplies last and customers may redeem only one free cone for the day. Free cones are not available for delivery through the DQ Rewards mobile app.

Where are there Dairy Queen locations in Tennessee?

Dairy Queen has 81 locations in Tennessee, according to the company’s website.

Every major city in the Volunteer State has a Dairy Queen location, including, Nashville, Knoxville, Memphis, Chattanooga and Murfreesboro.

Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shops will service up free scoops of ice cream at participating stores on Tuesday, April 8.

Where are there Ben & Jerry’s locations in Tennessee?

Though not as many as Dairy Queen, there are several Ben & Jerry’s scoop shops scattered across the Volunteer State. There is one location in Nashville, near Vanderbilt University.

East Tennessee is home to three scoop shops in Gatlinburg, Sevierville and Chattanooga. On the Western end of Tennessee, Memphis has two Ben & Jerry’s locations.
