Sadie Sink is joining the Spider-Man franchise

Marvel Cinematic Universe’s upcoming Spider-Man movie is teaming up Tom Holland with Sadie Sink. The Stranger Things actress has time on her hands after wrapping up production on the fifth and final season of her Netflix hit. Holland is back as Peter Parker for his fourth feature film, following Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), and Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021). That doesn’t count all of the times his version of Spidey appeared with the other Avengers in various MCU productions. The new Spider-Man begins filming later this year.

The Last of Us Season 2 trailer breaks the internet

The new trailer for The Last of Us Season 2 is coming on like a fungal infection. Since its release at SXSW on March 8, it has amassed 158 million global views across all platforms. That officially makes it HBO’s most-watched trailer during the time period. The two-minute video outperformed previous The Last of Us trailers and teasers by a margin of at least 160 percent. The cast members for Season 2 include Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey, and Kaitlyn Dever. The trailer cemented the phrase “Every Path Has a Price” as the official tagline for Season 2, which highlights Joel’s (Pascal) big decision at the end of the first season. Season 2 debuts April 13.

Spinal Tap II: The End Continues teaser cranks it up to 11

The sequel to the iconic 1984 mockumentary This Is Spinal Tap has been unveiled, and it’s cranking things up to 11. Officially titled Spinal Tap II: The End Continues, the sequel brings back director Rob Reiner and the three actors who portrayed legendary heavy metal band members: Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, and Harry Shearer. High-profile cameos will include Elton John, Paul McCartney, and Garth Brooks. Prior to The End Continues hitting theaters in September, the restored version of This Is Spinal Tap will return to the big screen this summer.

Billy Bob Thornton’s Landman coming back for Season 2

Paramount+ has renewed Landman for its second season. Earlier this year, Billy Bob Thornton received a Best Drama Actor Golden Globe nomination for his role of Tommy Norris, a petroleum Landman who also works at an oil company. From the mind of Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone), this drama takes place in the West Texas oil industry and performed explosively for Paramount+ as its most-watched premiere of the past two years. Other cast members include Demi Moore as Cami Miller, Jon Hamm as Monty Miller, and Ali Larter as Angela Norris.

Pixar series Win or Lose is now streaming on Disney+

All eight episodes of Win or Lose are now available to stream on Disney+. Featuring the voices of Will Forte, Izaac Wang, and Ian Chen, the Pixar Animation Studios original program follows eight different softball-loving characters — children, parents, the umpire, etc. — as they each prepare for the big game. Also streaming as of March 12 is the special behind-the-scenes documentary Meet the Pickles: The Making of Win or Lose, a film that chronicles the show’s development and creation.

Secrets of the Penguins celebrates Earth Day in style

National Geographic’s Emmy-winning “Secrets of” franchise is setting its sights on everybody’s favorite non-flight birds. Secrets of the Penguins will debut its first episode on Earth Day, April 22, on the Disney Channel. (Subscribers of Disney+ and Hulu will see all three episodes the day before, on April 21.) The project is narrated by Blake Lively and executive produced by National Geographic Explorer-at-Large and Oscar-winning filmmaker James Cameron, plus Emmy and BAFTA winners Ruth Roberts and Martin Williams. Secrets of the Penguins chronicles the cute creatures in their natural habitat in the farthest corners of the Earth.

One to One: John & Yoko trailer showcases their intimate lives

In the new documentary One to One: John & Yoko, Oscar-winning filmmaker Kevin Macdonald (One Day in September) takes viewers on a journey through “18 defining months” in the lives of legendary music artists John Lennon and Yoko Ono. It all leads up to the One to One benefit concert at Madison Square Garden in 1972, which was inspired by a Geraldo Rivera exposé. The film documentary will be released in Imax theaters on April 11, but you can watch the trailer right now.
