Rory McIlroy, Wife Erica Stoll Making a Loud Masters Statement

Rory McIlroy is attempting to finally get the monkey off of his back and win the Masters Tournament. He has gone 11 years since his last major championship win, prompting discussion that he will never achieve the esteemed honor.

As McIlroy looks to get one milestone behind him, he was able to accomplish that feat on a personal level already at Augusta National Golf Club this week.

Golf fans have been wondering for quite some time whether the four-time major winner’s marriage was on the rocks.

During Wednesday’s Masters Par 3 Contest, McIlroy’s wife, Erica Stoll, was his caddie for the day.

The couple reportedly filed for divorce in May of 2024. However, since that time, McIlroy announced they were calling off the split to The Guardian.

“Over the past weeks, Erica and I have realized that our best future was as a family together,” McIlroy said at that point. “Thankfully, we have resolved our differences and look forward to a new beginning.”

The 2025 season on the PGA Tour has seen the couple appearing to be closer together once again.

Stoll was there to celebrate with McIlroy after he won The PLAYERS Championship.

That sentiment was then cemented this week at The Masters.

Images of the pair together have left the notion of their divorce as a thing of the past.

McIlroy’s daughter, Poppy (4), stole the show during the Par 3 Contest. Poppy McIlroy sank a lengthy birdie putt, sending the crowd into euphoria with the heartfelt moment.

The Northern Irishman has taken a commanding lead during Sunday’s final round. Me may be a mere couple of hours away from making history.

If that happens, you can bet his wife Erica will be there to enjoy the moment with him.
