There continues to be curiosity about the status of Rory McIlroy and wife Erica Stoll. Back in May 2024, the couple filed for divorce, which has prompted speculation about their current relationship status.
On June 11, 2024, McIlroy released a statement to The Guardian revealing that the couple had called off the divorce.
“Over the past weeks, Erica and I have realized that our best future was as a family together,” McIlroy said at the time. “Thankfully, we have resolved our differences and look forward to a new beginning.”
The couple has since made their relationship status clear with their actions on the PGA Tour in 2025.

Stoll celebrated with McIlroy after the star golfer won The Players on March 17. The Masters has a Wednesday tradition where golfers play the Par 3 Contest with someone special as their caddie.
The two once again showed they have reconciled their differences as Stoll was McIlroy’s caddie. Stoll and McIlroy were also joined at Augusta National by their daughter, Poppy, who stole the show with a lengthy putt.
During the third season of the Netflix docuseries “Full Swing,” McIlroy got candid about how the divorce chatter impacted his life.
“There’s parts of my life that I like to keep as private as possible,” McIlroy said, per The New York Post. “Unfortunately, in this line of work, that isn’t always possible. I’ve always tried to be protective of my loved ones from people that have ill intentions.
“I think it was a wake-up call for me to say, ‘Let’s just focus on the golf for a little bit.'”
