River Plate vs. Mexico: How to watch, TV channel, live stream

Mexico concludes its two-game tour of South America with a friendly at River Plate on Tuesday night.

El Tri defeated Internacional 2-0 on Thursday, with goals from Erik Lira and Jorge Ruvalcaba handing Javier Aguirre’s men victory in Porto Alegre, Brazil.

The matches continue a recent trend for Mexico, which has been forced to play club sides with international opponents difficult to schedule. Mexico also hosted La Liga side Valencia in October.

With the two matches in South America taking place outside of a FIFA window, Aguirre has called in a roster made up entirely of Liga MX players.

Among Aguirre’s call-ups is 16-year-old Gilberto Mora, who became the youngest player in Mexico men’s national team history when he came on late against Internacional.

River Plate is in the final stages of its preseason preparations, and is expected to field a mostly full-strength squad in front of its home fans at the Estadio Monumental.

Marcelo Gallardo’s side will begin the regular season on Saturday with a match against Platense.
