Watch: Rihanna Is Pregnant With Baby No. 3, Reveals Baby Bump Ahead of Met Gala 2025
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky will run this town as a family of five.
The Savage Fenty founder—who shares sons RZA, 2, and Riot, 21 months, with the “Everyday” musician—is pregnant with the couple’s third baby, as she revealed ahead of the 2025 Met Gala in a portrait by photographer Miles Diggs.
In the picture, Rihanna puts her growing bump on display in a light blue skin-tight two-piece outfit worn with a statement headpiece outside of New York City’s Carlyle Hotel. The “Umbrella” singer, wearing coordinating blue stockings, also carries an umbrella in the pic to shield herself from the rain.
As for A$AP, the soon-to-be dad of three is hitting the event as co-chair. (See every celeb at the Met Gala here.)
The couple’s latest chapter comes nearly three years after they welcomed their first baby together. And though the pair—who began dating in late 2019 after being friends for years—would soon welcome their second, Rihanna already love on the brain when it came to motherhood.
“We’re best friends with a baby,” she told British Vogue in February 2023. “We have to be on the same page, but we’ve always kind of had that in our relationship. Everything changes when you have a baby, but I wouldn’t say it’s done anything but made us closer.”
In fact, it took less than four or five seconds for Rihanna to realize the precious dynamic they grew to have.
“I’m just sitting on the sidelines when they’re together,” she continued. “I’m literally the girl trying to get into the boys club, waiting for my turn. He is obsessed with his father. And I’m like: ‘Didn’t I give birth to you? What is going on?’”
“Their connection is undeniable,” she added. “The second Rocky makes eye contact with him he is on fire. The whole thing they say about sons and moms, it’s a myth. Sons and fathers is crazy. I realized that the validation that you really need as a boy is from your father.”
Fast-forward to that August 2023 and that boys club would grow even bigger, as the pair welcomed their son Riot, an experience that Rihanna treasured as motherhood continued to change her perspective.

“Oh, my God, it’s legendary,” the Grammy winner told the publication. “It’s everything. You really don’t remember life before, that’s the craziest thing ever. You literally try to remember it–and there are photos of my life before–but the feeling, the desires, the things that you enjoy, everything, you just don’t identify with it because you don’t even allow yourself mentally to get that far, because…Because it doesn’t matter.”
But she’s not the only one gushing over their family as A$AP himself recently reflected on his life as a new dad.
“I think we do a real great job at collaborating and making children,” the musician, who was recently found not guilty in his gun assault case, told Complex that November. “I think that’s our best creation so far. Nothing is better than that out there, any design.”
But soon after, Rihanna hinted that she was ready to no longer be the only girl in the world her household, joking to E! News that despite conquering it all, having a baby girl was one element she hadn’t tackled just yet.
“I’m batting at 75 percent for a boy next time,” she shared that December. “So, we’ll just keep our fingers crossed.”

But until that time comes, Rihanna has found love in soaking in the little moments of her life with her family.
“Motherhood, wifehood-ish, just being a homebody—I love it,” she told E! News in October 2024. “I love to be a homemaker. I just like to be exciting and celebrate things. I’m trying to build new traditions for our little family that we built.”
