The Los Angeles Rams lead the Minnesota Vikings by a score of 24-3 at halftime. Sean McVay’s offense started out hot, but slowed down some after Tyler Higbee left the game with a chest injury. On the other side of the field, the Vikings haven’t played their best half, but they have another half to flip the script.
The Rams scored on their opening possession when Matthew Stafford found Kyren Williams for a touchdown. L.A. took a 7-0 lead after the successful extra point.
L.A.’s defense held the Vikings to next to nothing on their opening possession, and the Rams offense was able to tack on more points with a field goal to take a 10-0 lead with 4:01 to go in the first quarter.
Minnesota did finally get on the board when they kicked a field goal with about 14:00 to go in the half, but L.A. still led 10-3.
With over four minutes to go in the first half, Chris Shula’s defense forced a turnover (their second of the game) and returned it for a touchdown. L.A. led 17-3 after the successful extra point.
L.A. added another TD with 0:15 seconds left in the second quarter as they took a 24-3 lead.
The Rams have played maybe their best half of the season, but they have another half to go before they can celebrate.
