When the Rockets and 76ers last met in late November, Jalen Green (41 points, 7 rebounds, 60% FG) snapped out of a slump as Houston won in overtime at Philadelphia.
Now, in Monday’s rematch from Toyota Center in Houston, Green enters with considerable momentum. So, too, do the Rockets — who have won six straight games and are a perfect 5-0 on their current homestand.
In recent days, that streak has lifted the Rockets (43-25) from No. 5 in the Western Conference standings to their current placement at No. 2.
Now, in the finale of a six-game homestand — their longest of the 2024-25 NBA season — the Rockets will look to build on that momentum as they face a struggling and injury ravaged Philadelphia squad. With numerous big names out due to injury, the Sixers (23-44) have won just three times in their last 18 games, and they will be on night two of a road back-to-back.
However, one of those three victories did come on Sunday, when the Sixers won at Dallas. The Rockets beat those same short-handed Mavericks by almost 40 points last Friday.

Because the Sixers will be on night two of a back-to-back, they are not required to issue an updated injury report for Monday’s game until a few hours prior to tipoff. Thus, this report is from Sunday’s game versus Dallas.
Prediction and Picks for 76ers at Rockets:
The Rockets have covered the spread in five games out of their current six-game winning streak, with the lone non-cover coming Saturday — in a game the Rockets were without Tari Eason due to load management on night two of a back-to-back.
On Monday, Eason will return, and the team will be more rested. The Embiid-less Sixers have historically been a good matchup for Green, who has averaged 26.7 points (46.7% FG, 44.4% on 3-pointers), 7.3 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game over his last three outings.
This feels like a Houston blowout. The “over” could also be a good play, if benches empty early. The Rockets scored 133 in a similar mismatch versus the Mavericks three days ago, and the Sixers put up 130 in their win at Dallas on Sunday. Bench units often lead to faster paced, transition play.
Best Bets: Rockets -15.5 (-110), over 222.5 points (-115)
Favorite Prop: Jalen Green, over 22.5 points (-125)
Prediction: 122-105, Rockets
More: With one month to play, streaking Rockets improve to No. 2 in Western Conference standings
