Amik Robertson injury update: Lions CB ruled out, taken to hospital with elbow injury

The Detroit Lions may have lost Amik Robertson to an injury in the NFC divisional round showdown with the Washington Commanders.

The injury happened in the first quarter on just the Commanders’ second offensive play when Robertson was trying to make a tackle on a screen pass and Lions LB Jack Campbell hit him on the arm.

Robertson was immediately taken to the locker room with a pair of trainers holding up his injured arm.

The team quickly announced that Robertson is questionable with an elbow injury, and then in the second quarter, Robertson was ruled out for the game.

According to an NFL.com report, Robertson was taken to the hospital after suffering the injury.

Robertson was the breakout star in the team’s crucial Week 18 win over the Minnesota Vikings to lock up the 1-seed, shutting down star wide receiver Justin Jefferson while matching up with him all night long.

The Lions came into the game relatively healthy. They got running back David Montgomery back from a sprained MCL to re-join the backfield, but are without starting right guard Kevin Zeitler (hamstring).
