Penn State-Notre Dame ‘College GameDay’ picks: Who picked Nittany Lions, Fighting Irish?

On Thursday night, Penn State will aim to get one important step closer to its first national championship since 1986 when the Nittany Lions face off against Notre Dame in the College Football Playoff semifinals.

After wins against SMU and Boise State in the playoff’s first round and quarterfinals, respectively, coach James Franklin’s team will face its toughest test yet of this postseason when it squares off against a Fighting Irish squad that has won 12 consecutive games, including a 23-10 victory against Georgia in the Sugar Bowl last week.
