Months before Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover broke up, fans could see cracks in their relationship forming throughout Summer House Season 9.

The Southern Charm cast member paid a visit to the Hamptons in the March 26 episode, and even during Carl Radke‘s shipwrecked party, it was evident that the couple of three years was in choppy waters.

First, they had a terse conversation about an “annual review” by the pool, and later in the evening, Paige pulled aside Ciara Miller to talk about how she was no longer feeling supported by her boyfriend as her career grew.

As they whispered together in their room, the fashion influencer even revealed something that Craig deliberately wouldn’t say in front of the show’s cameras.

Paige went on to share, “When we got home, he was like, ‘Well, on camera, obviously I’m not going to say you’re way busier than me, that your s–t is bigger.’ I go, ‘Why?’ He goes, ‘That would be negative.’ Like, for you!”

“I go, ‘Like, why couldn’t you have said that? Like, that is what’s happening,'” continued Paige. “That validates my s–t!”

When Ciara noted that was concerning, Paige asked, “Am I dating a secret hater?”

Ciara then confirmed Paige’s theory, declaring, “Hater!”

At that exact moment, Craig could be seen in the hallway, asking “Where is my girlfriend?”

The Summer House roommates ended the conversation there, but Ciara had plenty more to say about the tension between Paige and Craig.

“That is a f–-king hater ass boyfriend,” Ciara told producers in a confessional. “Paige shouldn’t have to pay for your lack of self-confidence and your lack of self-esteem.”

When did Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover break up?

Paige announced the end of the relationship in a Giggly Squad episode from December 2024, but the podcast host and Sewing Down South founder had actually called it off about a month earlier.

She explained that both she and Craig took “a little time” to process the breakup “in private,” and with their respective inner circles, before making it public knowledge.

In the Summer House After Show video above, Paige shared new details as to what went wrong in her relationship with Craig.

“Looking back on it now, probably from the jump, did we have great communication? Probably not,” Paige said. “I think Craig very much gave me like the — because I am more straightforward and stern and I don’t sugarcoat as much — it was like, ‘You’re harsh.’ So I would kind of have to stay more quiet when he would voice his opinions because he would always take it as a personal attack.”
