Packers select Texas edge rusher Barryn Sorrell at No. 124th overall in fourth round of 2025 draft

The Green Bay Packers selected Texas edge rusher Barryn Sorrell with the 124th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL draft.

Sorrell (6-3, 256) led Texas with 49 pressures and 11 quarterback hits last season. He finished his collegiate career with 25.5 tackles for loss and 15.5 sacks over 49 games and 40 starts, all with Texas.

Sorrell is athletic, posting a 9.32 Relative Athletic Score and “great” scores in speed, explosion and agility. He is only 22 years old.

The Packers needed to add help at defensive end in this draft. It took until Day 3, but the Packers got a productive and athletic option in Sorrell in the fourth round.

Sorrell is the second Longhorn drafted by the Packers this year, joining first-round pick Matthew Golden.
