Officials: No survivors on board in Brooklyn Park plane crash

BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. — The Brooklyn Park Fire Department said there were no survivors on board after a small plane crashed in Brooklyn Park Saturday afternoon. 

Officials have not confirmed the number of passengers on the plane. 

The FAA stated the plane departed from Des Moines International Airport in Iowa and was headed to Anoka County-Blaine Airport in Minneapolis. 

Witnesses nearby told KARE 11 the plane crash started a fire at a home in Brooklyn Park. In a press conference Saturday afternoon, fire crews said no one was in the house at the time of the fire. 

A neighbor told KARE 11’s Jessica Hart that he felt his house shake with the impact of the aircraft crash. 

The National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the incident.
