The checkered flag is out for the NASCAR Cup Series at Talladega Superspeedway.
Austin Cindric won the Jack Link’s 500 on April 27 in Talladega, Alabama. This is Cindric’s third career win and first at Talladega. Cindric took the lead after completing the fastest pit stop in the final stop of the race then held off the field and pushed his No. 2 Team Penske Ford past Ryan Preece to score the checkered flag.
Kyle Larson won the first stage of the race for his first career stage win at Talladega. Bubba Wallace won the second stage with a late pass of Joey Logano. The race had four cautions for 22 laps and 67 lead changes.
After the race, Preece and Logano were both disqualified. Preece was DQ’d for having too many shims in his spoiler and Logano was missing a spoiler bolt.
