Firefighters are making some progress on controlling several blazes that have scorched Los Angeles, as the toll of devastation continued to rise with entire neighborhoods reduced to ash.
The Kenneth Fire that broke out and expanded rapidly north of the 101 Freeway is 35% contained, while the massive blaze that erupted in the Pacific Palisades community earlier this week is showing very early signs of control. The death toll has climbed to 10, AP reported, citing the county coroner’s office.
