Auburn men’s basketball is one game away from the Final Four.
The only team standing in its way is No. 2 seed Michigan State, and the Tigers and Spartans will meet Sunday afternoon for a spot in San Antonio next weekend.
It’s the second ever Elite Eight matchup between head coaches Bruce Pearl and Tom Izzo, with the first coming while Pearl was at Tennessee in 2010. Izzo and Michigan State won the game, but Pearl will look to get some revenge on Sunday.
Auburn got to this point by beating Alabama State, Creighton and Michigan, and Michigan State’s path consisted of beating Bryant, New Mexico and Ole Miss. Now, the two teams face off for a chance to reach the Final Four.
