It’s been two months since one of the most shocking trades in NBA history, and the saga continues Wednesday night when Luka Dončić returns to Dallas for the first time since the move. Dončić already faced his old team in Los Angeles in February and got some revenge, but this night will certainly be different as he’s welcomed back by Mavericks fans.

After all the backlash the Mavs faced after the trade, they will surely try to smooth things over by paying tribute to Dončić, including giving fans shirts featuring the Slovenian phrase “Hvala za vse,” meaning “thank you so much.” Dončić will have some extra motivation to play well in his homecoming — the Lakers are coming off a tough loss to the Thunder, and have just three games remaining in their regular season. They sit in third place in the Western Conference.
