ISU: No shelter-in-place order on campus after 1 person shot at Bone Student Center

NORMAL (25News Now) – A person was shot Sunday night at Illinois State University’s Bone Student Center, according to ISU’s emergency alert system.

The first alert came in at 7:55 p.m. At 9:22 p.m., the university said there is no shelter-in-place order on campus, the student center is closed, and police continue to investigate the shooting.

Police have provided a description of the suspect. He is said to be a slender Black male, 5 feet 10 inches tall with a black afro hair style, and wearing clothes that are all black.

The suspect was last seen running south from University Street and College Avenue, police said.
