Ipswich Town vs Arsenal: Premier League preview, team news, stats & head-to-head
- Ipswich have never won in 11 previous Premier League meetings with Arsenal (D2 L9). It’s the most they’ve faced a side without ever winning in the competition, while the Gunners have only faced Portsmouth more often without ever losing (14).
- Arsenal are unbeaten in their last 14 league games against Ipswich (W11 D3), winning the last four without conceding. Their last league defeat against the Tractor Boys was a 2-1 loss in September 1984.
- Arsenal have won six of their last eight away games against Ipswich in all competitions (D1 L1), though did lose their last visit to Portman Road in a League Cup semi-final match in January 2011 (0-1).
- This will be Ipswich’s first ever league game played on Easter Sunday. Meanwhile, Arsenal will become the first team to play a league game on Easter Sunday in three consecutive years following a 2-2 draw with Liverpool in 2023 and 0-0 draw with Man City in 2024 (Liverpool will also match this later today).
- Ipswich Town have lost each of their six home Premier League games in 2025, as many defeats as they suffered in the league at Portman Road in 2023 and 2024 combined. It’s the Tractor Boys’ joint longest home losing run, also losing six in a row between September and November 1963.
- Arsenal have won each of their last 10 Premier League games against teams starting the day in the relegation zone by an aggregate score of 30-2. Their last defeat against a side in the bottom three came away at Everton in February 2023.
- Defeat for Ipswich would be their 20th Premier League defeat of the season and would be third time in six seasons they’ve lost 20+ games in the competition (also 29 in 1994-95 and 20 in 2001-02). Among teams to feature in five or more Premier League campaigns, only Watford (5/8, 63%), Hull (3/5, 60%) and QPR (4/7, 57%) would have lost 20 games in a higher percentage of their campaigns than Ipswich.
- Ipswich Town have dropped 27 points from winning positions in the Premier League this season, more than any other side. They’ve only won one out of six games in 2025 when they’ve taken the lead (D3 L2).
- Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka has had a hand in 15 goals in his last 16 Premier League games against newly promoted sides (7 goals, 8 assists), including three goals and five assists in his last six.
- Julio Enciso has had a hand in four goals in his eight Premier League appearances for Ipswich Town (1 goal, 3 assists), ending a run of 32 games without a goal last time out against Chelsea. Since his debut on 25 January, only Liam Delap can match Enciso’s tally of goals and assists combined for the Tractor Boys.
