Michigan got hot in that frame and shot nearly 50% from beyond the arc. Setting up for an interesting final quarter after what looked like what might be an ISU cruise control victory early in the third.

1Q/4:52- Michigan 10, Iowa State 8

No team really asserting itself just yet. Michigan has led most of the first quarter, but it’s always been a one or two-possession deficit.

Wolverines are throwing up a ton of shots, but not hitting on them. They’re 3-of-13 from the field. Cyclones are a much more efficient 3-of-7 from the floor. But ISU has four turnovers already, so that’s something to keep an eye on.

Iowa State women’s basketball vs. Michigan prediction

Will Kennedy

The season has been full of ups and downs for Iowa State, but it has found a groove lately, winning eight of the last 10 games. Both losses came to Baylor. While Michigan will be a tough matchup, the Wolverines don’t do many of the things that typically pose problems for the Cyclones.

Strong 3-point shooting and physical defenses are usually Iowa State’s biggest bugaboo. With a matchup that benefits Iowa State, the Cyclones likely will end up one win away from the Sweet 16.
