BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – A flash flood warning is in effect for most of the WBKO viewing area. Viewers and organizations are posting photos on our website and online, warning of closed roads and flash flooding.

In Logan County, the Sheriff’s Office has responded to three calls involving vehicles stranded in water.

Sheriff Stephen Stratton said deputies have been monitoring and patrolling county roads and working with search and rescue crews, especially near the Red River in the southern part of the county.

“As darkness approaches, it will become more difficult to see water pooling along road edges or flowing across roadways,” Stratton said. “If you must travel, reduce your speed and let someone know your route.”

Multiple roadways were closed due to high water across South Central Kentucky.
