How to watch UMaine take on Penn State in 1st round of NCAA hockey tournament

The University of Maine men’s hockey team will take on Penn State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday night.

The puck drops at the PPL Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania, at 8:30 p.m.

UMaine is the top seed in the Allentown Regional, and Penn State is the No. 4 seed.

The Black Bears are 24-7-6 this season, while Penn State holds a 20-13-4 record. Friday’s matchup will be the first ever meeting between UMaine and the Nittany Lions.

The second round NCAA Tournament games will be held on Saturday, March 29, and Sunday, March 30.

If UMaine wins on Friday, the team will play the winner of UConn (22-11-4) versus Quinnipiac (24-11-2) on Sunday at the PPL Center.

The Frozen Four semifinals take place on April 10. The Frozen Four national championship will be held on April 12, and will be broadcast on ESPN2.
