Newcastle is right in the thick of a helatious fight for the last two spots in next year’s UEFA Champions League. Following a sizeable 3-0 win over Leicester City last Monday, the Magpies have won three matches in a row, and four of their previous five. They come into Sunday right on the cusp of the top four, sitting tied with Chelsea for fourth, though the Blues have the current tiebreaker.
Manchester United is far from competing for anything else other than pride. While they grabbed a point in what was a boring edition of the Manchester derby against four-time defending EPL champion Manchester City, the Red Devils are far down to the totem pole, sitting 13th in the table heading into Sunday.
