It’s certainly not a sight Boston Celtics fans wanted to see in the first game of what is expected to be another long playoff run this spring.
Celtics star Jayson Tatum took a hard fall on the famed parquet after going up for a dunk in the fourth quarter of Game 1. He landed awkwardly on his right wrist and writhed in pain for a couple of minutes before staying in the game.
The Celtics listed Tatum as doubtful with a bone bruise in his wrist for Wednesday’s Game 2 matchup of their first-round playoff series against the Orlando Magic. Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla called Tatum “day-to-day.”
So how concerned should Celtics fans be when it comes to Tatum’s injury? NESN’s George Balekji and Ountae Campbell explained on “Hold My Banner” why they aren’t sweating over it — not even a little bit.
“Zero. I wouldn’t even go one,” Campbell said on where his concern level was from one to 10. “I’m not worried about it at all.”

“Tatum is going to be fine,” Balekji said. “They wouldn’t say he’s day-to-day if he’s not.”
If Tatum does end up missing Game 2, it will be the first postseason game he sat out in his eight-year NBA career. But getting Tatum healthy is of utmost importance for the Celtics as they look to win back-to-back championships.
