Over the past 15 years, Rory McIlroy has been one of the most prolific, accomplished competitors in the world of professional golf.
Since beginning his professional career in 2007, McIlroy has won 28 PGA Tour events and 11 international tournaments, some of which came on the biggest, most celebrated stages that his sport has to offer.
Another achievement could soon be on the way.

McIlroy enters Sunday at The Masters atop the leaderboard, with a 2-stroke advantage over Bryson DeChambeau, his playing partner for the final 18 holes at Augusta National Golf Club. If he’s able to hold on, he’ll complete the career grand slam, with at least one victory in each of golf’s four majors.

For the 35 year old from Northern Ireland, a win at the most storied tournament in golf will make a bit of personal history, too.

Has Rory McIlroy ever won The Masters?
For all he has achieved throughout his nearly 20-year professional career, McIlroy has never won The Masters.
His best finish at Augusta National came in 2022, when he finished in second place, three strokes behind winner Scottie Scheffler.
Perhaps more famously, McIlroy carried a 4-stroke lead into the final round of The Masters in 2011, but had an 8-over-par 80 in the final round, dropping him into a tie for 15th place.
