Hailey Van Lith is back in the Elite Eight for the fifth time in her illustroius career.
The point guard scored 26 points in Friday’s 71-62 win over Notre Dame in the Sweet 16 to earn TCU women’s basketball its first ever trip to the Elite Eight. Now the Horned Frogs face another stiff test against No. 1 Texas at 7 p.m. Monday at the Legacy Arena at the BJCC in Birmingham, Alabama.

TCU will go as far as Van Lith can take it. While she has reached the Elite Eight five times in her career, she is seeking her second trip to the Final Four, with the last occurring during her sophomore season with Louisville during the 2021-22 season.
Van Lith was the Big 12 Player of the Year, Big 12 Newcomer of the Year, First-team All-Big 12 and Big 12 tournament Most Outstanding Player this season. She also was a finalist for Naismith and an All-American after transferring in from LSU.
