Greenland to Kick Off Coalition Talks After Voters Snub Trump

Greenland is set to start talks on building a coalition after voters backed a slower path to independence, spurning US President Donald Trump’s approaches.

The pro-business Demokraatit — which seeks boosting the territory’s economy before breaking away from Denmark — secured just under 30% of the total tally, more than tripling since four years ago and shaking up a political system that for decades has been dominated by centrist-left forces.
