The 2025 Grammy Awards red carpet is officially underway, which means we have finally entered the fun part of awards season. Like, let’s be honest, the Emmys, Critics’ Choice Awards, and Golden Globes are usually kind of a snooze fest. But the Grammys are always worth tuning into, at least for the fashion risks if nothing else. We are expecting the music industry’s biggest stars to show up and show out on the red carpet.

Below, we have ranked the best and worst dressed stars of the night, plus the weirdest looks that are blowing up our group chats. The good, the bad, and the ugly. Enjoy! And if you want to see all the red carpet looks, right this way.

It’s kooky and avant-garde and drag-inspired and a little bit too much: everything we’ve come to love from this diva, who’s nominated for six awards tonight.

Our other favorite Grammys front-runner is also looking very on-brand tonight — Short n’ Sweet, if you will — in custom JW Anderson. The pastel, feather-embellished gown feels part Disney princess, part bombshell, part Old Hollywood.

This look is so nostalgic for us “Merry Go ’Round”–era Kacey Musgraves fans. It’s nice to see the country singer return to her glamorous westernwear roots after experimenting with more daring fashion choices in recent years.

Queen Bee did not make a red carpet appearance but she did bless us with custom Schiaparelli when she finally showed up. And thank god for that.

Billie’s red carpet style is hit-or-miss for me. I love an oversize fit, don’t get me wrong. But when the garment is three or four sizes too big instead of one or two, she loses me. Tonight, though, her look is perfection. It’s interesting and effortlessly cool, which is true to her personal style, yet still beautifully tailored and fashion-forward.

Too safe for the Grammys, but chic nonetheless!

Cardi looks fabulous in this Roberto Cavalli spring 2025 outfit by Fausto Puglisi. We love to see her in a vintage moment.

This Thom Browne look on Doechii is particularly great: the exaggerated shape, the perfectly tailored suit and the subtle sleeves. Plus: Her hair and makeup never miss.

Now, Ms. Cyrus, we would love to see you in something other than a cutout dress. But you do look great in it.

Straight off the couture runway, Charli XCX is wearing a Jean Paul Gaultier couture dress designed by Ludovic de Saint Sernin. And it is a 10/10. No notes.

This look is regal and beautiful — exactly what we would expect from New York City’s princess.

Our girl is all grown up and looking cooler than ever.

Sorry, Swifties, but this is not … good. We aren’t sure what is worse: the thigh-garter jewelry or the earrings.

The cone bra is sacred — and this styling is doing it oh-so dirty.

Don’t come for me, Swifties! She looks beautiful, obviously. But I would’ve liked to see her in something a little less … somber (and bridal?), considering the breakout year she’s had.

Paris has been wearing different versions of this same dress since like 2015. Girl, give us something new!

Can you say Sha-boring? Or Sha-confusing?

She could probably come up with a much better joke about this look than I could. All I know is it’s not good.

At least look like you are having fun.

Lady Gaga is dressing for Mayhem in Vivienne Westwood and a vintage Tiffany & Co. necklace. This is weird in the best way. Like the cool girl at your high school that studied Wicca.

Now let’s be clear: We love Troye. But the mismatched purple outfit just isn’t giving us a rush.

No red carpet is complete without a Julia Fox look that makes you do a double take. And for that, we love her.

Now this might be a personal problem but the pearls are really triggering my trypophobia…

Hmmm, I’m not sure what’s going on here. But maybe it’s just over my head?

Again, not sure what’s going on here, but we certainly do not condone it.
