Aside from the 7 cannon blasts there were plenty of additional fireworks yesterday afternoon in Columbus. Will any of that animosity carry over as the Caps try to wash away their embarrassment?

Washington recognized the position they were in yesterday and the record breaking Russian did not make the trip to rest. He should return today as his quest to break 900 goals and the all-time hits record continues.
Jakub Chychrun has missed the last two games with an illness, he may also draw back in and provide a large boost to the Washington back-end. Protas has been a big part of the Washington success this season but won’t start skating until next week.
With a Montreal OT loss yesterday everyone except the CBJ and Habs are eliminated or clinched in the East. CBJ need to win out in regulation to have a realistic chance of reaching the postseason. No other scoreboard to watch tonight besides this one, Montreal plays Chicago tomorrow at 7.
Normally I would expect Tarasov to draw in today but Jet Greaves is on a 5 period shutout streak and there is no trust in Daniil. Does Jet keep going?
