Future, Young Thug, Don Toliver and Yeat to headline Summer Smash Festival

Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash Festival, one of hip-hop’s largest showcases, will feature headliners Future, Young Thug, Don Toliver and Yeat, it was announced Thursday.

Other performers set for the three-day weekend, which runs from June 20-22 at Bridgeview’s SeatGeek Stadium (7000 S Harlem Ave.), include Sexyy Red, Lil Yachty, Soulja Boy and Quavo.

Tickets and parking passes go on sale at noon Friday at thesummersmash.com and the DICE moblie app. Installment payment options are also available. Single-ticket sales will be announced at a later date.

Celebrating its seventh year, Summer Smash Festival co-founder and Lyrical Lemonade founder, Cole Bennett, said in a news release, “May this be the best one yet. Lucky number seven.”

The festival also spotlights Chicago’s hometown heroes, including G Herbo, Saba, Famous Dex and a performance by Chance the Rapper.

For Young Thug, the festival represents a major comeback. The rapper was scheduled to headline the 2022 Summer Smash Festival alongside Gunna before being arrested in May of that year in connection with the YSL racketeering trial. Young Thug was released in October 2024 after a lengthy legal battle that kept him in prison for two years.

His appearance at the hip-hop festival will be his first since 2022, making his return to the stage much anticipated.

Elliot Montanez, director of operations for Lyrical Lemonade, told the Sun-Times he’s looking forward to Young Thug’s performance.

“It’ll be the first time that fans can see him live in years. I’m ecstatic that it’s at Summer Smash,” Montanez said.
