Fond du Lac area now under winter weather advisory Wednesday, 3-5 inches of snow possible

FOND DU LAC – Wednesday’s snowfall could be more than Monday’s forecast initially predicted.

As of Feb. 11, Fond du Lac and the surrounding region will be under a winter weather advisory from 9 a.m. Wednesday to 3 a.m. Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

Snow accumulation could reach up to 4 inches in Fond du Lac and up to 5 inches in the areas south and east of Fond du Lac.

This can cause slippery road conditions, especially impacting the Wednesday evening commute. Drivers are urged to slow down and use caution when traveling.

More snow is anticipated so far Friday and into Saturday.

Updates as the storm moves into the state will be available on the US National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan Wisconsin Facebook page.
